I was walking around the Lion's Nature Education centre the other day and saw this strange hanging fruit...do you know what it is?
My clever wifey says "Its a Loofah! like the kind that you scrub yourself with in the bath". oh, I had no idea.....this is a type of sponge....but it is also a gourd, and the Luffa is a genus of tropical and subtropical vines in the cucumber family.
Who knew? Well, my wife did! Mystery solved.
