The reticulated python (Broghammerus reticulatus)

The reticulated python (Broghammerus reticulatus) is not a snake we have in Hong Kong (we have the Burmese python)

This snake was in Bali, as it is native to South and Southeast ASia.

It is the world's longest snake.

It is an excellent swimmer, has been reported far out at sea, and has colonised many small islands within its range.

Like all pythons, it is non-venomous, taking its prey by constriction. Adult humans have been killed (and in at least two reported cases, eaten) by reticulated pythons. Unlike our Burmese pythons, so you have nothing to worry about from our lovely snake in Hong Kong.
