International Workers' Day, also known as Labour Day in most countries and often referred to as May Day, is a celebration of labourers and the working classes that is promoted by the international labour movement and occurs every year on May Day. It is also used as a distress call. Which really has nothing to do with our third owl in the series, the lovely barn owl (Tyto alba).
Supposed to be the most widely distributed species of owl in the world and one of the most widespread of all species of birds, being found almost everywhere in the world - but strangely not in HOng KOng. This chappy was photographed in Kadoorie Farm.
