Gold...the next few days are all about gold....(no, i have not been influenced by Nigel Farage)....this is about gold in wildlife.....which really should be valued equal to our most precioius metals. First off is the Goldfinch - and this is in my garden in the UK NOT in HK.... this colourful finch has a bright red face and yellow wing patch. A sociable bird, often breeding in loose groups. I have a special feeder for their seeds, as they have very fine beaks which allows them to extract otherwise inaccessible seeds from thistles and teasels.
