Dragonflies stacked

ONe of the problems in shooting dragonflies in-situ is depth of field. If you use a telephoto lens with a small aperture then you will find that part of the dragonfly (body or wings) is blurred and not in focus due to the shallow depth of field. Using a larger aperture like f20 or greater will make the image softer overall.... this is really only apparant when you really crop the image so the beastie dominates..... so? I have tried a new process which is handheld image stacking...ie taking 5-7 images and then compositing them - or stacking them - together. This means the animal is sharp (if it does not move!) and the background is lovely and blurry. First results here....let me know what you think...
