This is the stunning Oleander hawk-moth.

and in close up....look at those wonderful hairs covering its head and body.

Another shot, although its hard to do it justice...the colours are amazing, like a battle tank.

They have great looking caterpillars too (like all hawk moths), and here is the pupa, with a leaf showing its size.
