Who cares about biodiversity?
Climate change? yes, that is a problem, but far less talked about but perhaps more dangerous, is the rapid decline of the natural world. The felling of forests, the over-exploitation of seas and soils, and the pollution of air and water are perhaps leading to a bigger problem (and not just that we will not have many wild animals to see anymore).
Nature underpins all economies with the “free” services it provides in the form of clean water, air and the pollination of all major human food crops by bees and insects.
The culprit? Industrial farming is to blame for much of the loss of nature, along with an obsession with economic growth as well as spiralling human populations.
