.you may remember the post from the 8th January, when I posted about the Bulbuls eating star fruit in the Lions Nature Education Centre in Sai Kung, and they had some very small competition.
This is the Japanese White-eye (Zosterops japonica). The name of this tiny, ubiquitous bird comes from the white feathers that surround its eye.
It is a tiny little bird, so these shots were a challenge, getting the focus on such a small object, and trying to keep it sharp through all the branches, on an overcast day.
And this was the Crested Bulbul or the Red-whiskered Bulbul (Pycnonotus jocosus).
